When fashion sheds its skin

Both In September and in February, Anteprima by Lineapelle opens the world trade fair season dedicated to the very best in leather goods.

This year was no exception as Lineapelle once again awed the public, on 10 and 11 September, with the presentation of a project dedicated to young people: “When fashion sheds its skin”.

After collaborating for years with prestigious maisons, twelve up-and-coming designers who had subsequently  launched their own, highly successful brands, were involved in the project whose aim was to maximize Italian quality and creativity in the use of leather, a versatile material capable of skilfully blending tradition with innovation.

Research was a key player in this adventure. The LP Fashion Studio provided each designer with the materials, colour nuances, textures and special working techniques required to manufacture their own individual creations. Fifty pieces, including garments and accessories fashioned in leather and featuring the latest Autumn-Winter colour trends were displayed alongside other design elements inspired by the shapes and materials produced by the industry’s tanning machinery. The staging of a fascinating, creative  journey where, at each step, one’s senses are heightened by the designer’s endless sources of inspiration.

Their creations will be the object of an itinerant exhibition: in addition to Milan, they will also be displayed in Paris, New York, London, Tokyo and Canton. Designers involved in the project included Silvano Arnoldo and Massimiliano Battois, Paula Cadematori, Giulia Gobbi, Francesca Liberatore, Giancarlo Petrigia, Sara Battaglia, Simone Rainer, Azzurra Gronchi, Elisabetta Saccomani, Michela Villa, Alberto Carlo Varnier and Rosa Clandestino.
