“Creators of value” at the National Chamber of Fashion
On 29 November, 2012, the seventh edition of the prize-giving ceremony of China Awards 2012 , an event organized by the Italy-China Foundation in collaboration with Milano Finanza, was held against the prestigious backdrop of Palazzo Clerici.
During the ceremony, the Italian National Chamber of Fashion was honoured with the “Creatori di Valore” (Creators of Value) award, given to Italian companies who have performed particularly well in China, working in areas and sectors of high growth and exports. Mario Boselli, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion stepped up to receive the award.
The aim of the China Awards is to honour both Italian and Chinese companies who have managed to exploit the potential of both the Chinese and Italian markets to the fullest, underlining the importance that globalization holds for businesses in both countries.
A expert panel of judges, consisting of important personalities, presided over by Cesare Romiti – President of the Italy-China Foundation and Paolo Panerai – Vice-President and Managing Director of Class Editori, selected the companies that received awards during the evening. “As the National Chamber of Italian Fashion we are truly honoured to have received this prestigious award, which is also a tribute to the important strategic choice made by CNMI in 2011, namely officialising the relationship between two of the world’s best garment manufacturers, Italy and China, following the signing of two agreements with the China Fashion Association and the China National Garment Association”, commented Mario Boselli, President of the CNMI.
“The alliance between the two systems, which can be defined as historic and revolutionary, is inspired by the logic of complimentarity between the two countries: Italy whose production of high-end products constitutes the apex of the pyramid and China whose large-scale production constitutes the base. A positive alliance whose important effects will be felt both during this time of crisis as well as in terms of seizing opportunities for recovery”, added President Boselli.
