IDF 2014 to be held between November 18 and 20, 2014
311 exhibiting companies and company representatives from 25 countries gathered at the IDF 2013 , 8th Istanbul Leather Fair!
Industry representatives from 25 countries IDF 2013 held at the TÜYAP Fair, Congress and Convention Center, Büyükçekmece/İstanbul between the dates of November 21 – 23, 2013, gathered international leather and apparel manufacturers, tanneries, chemical, machinery and accessory producers and fashion designers from AUSTRALIA , BELGIUM, CHINA,DENMARK, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, HONG KONG, ICELAND, INDIA, IRELAND, ITALY, KOREA, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, PAKISTAN, SINGAPORE, SOUTH AFRICA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TURKEY, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, UNITED KINGDOM and UNITED STATES, showing their latest products, designs, technologies and 2013-2014 trends. Also three National Pavillions from France, India and Pakistan were among the International Exhibitors of IDF 2013.
Large-scale orders IDF 2013 has been visited by 14,489 professionals, 2.101 of whom were from 66 countries. IDF 2013 was particularly effective for the participants due to the number of international visitors and volumes of large-scale orders placed. The fair made a difference for participants who wish to expand into new markets and reinforce their positions in their current markets.
Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 propositions at the IDF 2013 TREND AREA Professionals found the opportunity to look at the Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 propositions at the trend area leaded by the famous Turkish Fashion Designer Simay Bulbul and created by the Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters’ Association (İDMİB) and Genuine Turkish Leather (DTG).
IDF 2013 hosted a calendar of interesting & fashionable events The fair hosted a variety of significant events where International leather & design industry’ guests expanded the vision of the industry and reinforced the international aspect of the IDF 2013, such as ;
*40 Years in Leather Award Ceremony hosted by Turkish Leather Foundation (TURDEV),
*Workshop called Made in Turkey & Made in Italy, Possible Synergy in the Market; Leather + Creativity = Luxury organised by Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and Turkish Leather Foundation (TURDEV),
*Fashion Leather Trends for Autumn – Winter 2014/15 organised by Lineapelle.
Daily Fashion Shows called “UNLIMITED LEATHER” For the first time after 5 years, where the participants; *Mefi *Adamo by Siren Ertan*Armando Diaz*Rafaello*Temer*Violenzia*Studio Vogue exhibited their latest creations once in everyday during the fair period within an organization up to Fashion Weeks’ standards including 21 meters podium and seating for an audience of 400 people.
IDF 2013 has also opened new horizons with “ART MEETS LEATHER” Project located at the main entrance of the TÜYAP Venue The leading Artists of the Turkish Contemporary Art were present with their artworks created especially for IDF 2013 such as a leather painting by Lolita Asil titled “Universal”, leather paintings and sculptures by Suzy Hug Levy titled “Leatherly” and a leather sculpture by Yücel Kale titled “Flora” exhibited during the fair period while gathering “Leather” and “Art”.
Organized by TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitions Organisation Inc. in association with the Turkish Leather Foundation (TÜRDEV), with the support of the Leather Apparel Producers Association of Turkey (TDKD) and other leading organizations of the industry and has been held with the support of KOSGEB and the Genuine Turkish Leather (DTG).
