In addition to a number of other, high-end brands, Bertoletti 1882, the prestigious fashion house and manufacturers of luxury goods, founded in Rome, way back in 1882, took centre stage at Vogue Fashion’s Night Out 2012. Recognized by the Institutions as a Heritage of the city and listed in the  “Albo di Roma Capitale”,  Bertoletti 1882 is currently run by Maria Luisa and Francesco Bertoletti who, in 2012, also received the honour of being listed in the exclusive order of Historic Italian Businesses.

Contemporary Fur Shop will be the title of the photographic exhibition organized by Bertoletti 1882 and created by Luca Latrofa, a fashion photographer for AltaRoma. Fashion and photography, a winning combination which visitors will be able to admire on 13 September in the showroom located in Via Vittoria 16A.

Seven, like the seven hills of Rome and the seven kings of the Roman Empire, will be the recurring number for this particular initiative. Seven images of the Eternal City, in which “precious furs”, a fashion product, typical of the Roman Maison, will act as chromatic backdrops and an integral part of the architecture and urban landscape portrayed.

One of the star attractions of the evening will be the presence of Libanese designer Abed Mahfouz who will shortly be signing a partnership agreement with Maison Bertoletti 1882, to be developed in their respective ateliers, i.e. Bertoletti 1882’s atelier in Rome and Mahfouz’s atelier in Beirut.   During the event, Mahfouz will present two exclusive High Fashion creations from his A/W 2012/2013 collection, also showcased at the July 2012 edition of Altaroma.

As part of the VFNO 2012 initiative, for which proceeds from the sale of special objects signed Vogue Fashion Night Out, will go to victims of the earthquake which hit Emilia-Romagna in May this  year, Luisa and Francesco Bertoletti have created the  Bertoletti Fashion Bag, manufactured by Grafiche Fantasy in Modena, which will be given as a gift to guests attending the evening. An alternative and concrete, though equally functional method to re-launch the market and manufacturing industries active in the area hit by the earthquake.
